But then President-elect Donald Trump said he'd push back the deadline and TikTok restored service. Uncertainty remains. Rakuten's AI ambitions: Japanese billionaire Hiroshi Mikitani is steering his ecommerce, fintech and telecom conglomerate toward becoming an AI leader in the country of 125 million. The exclusive data the company collects on its millions of users is key, he told Bloomberg in an interview.
