In Today’s Masters in Trading: Live Ether (ETH) is quietly becoming the most powerful form of money in the world. Since launching in 2015, ETH has become the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. And here’s what most traders miss: it has a distinct edge over Bitcoin (BTC) that’s fueling its massive rise. Let me break this down for you. Bitcoin is what we call sound money. It holds its value like gold because its supply is fixed – capped at 21 million BTC. That scarcity is what drives its value as "digital gold." ETH does something completely different. Think about it this way: It's like having a currency that becomes more valuable as more people use it. Over the last few years, ETH's total supply has been shrinking at about 0.29% per year. An event called the Merge – Ethereum’s biggest upgrade cycle to date – created the conditions for ETH’s unique supply dynamic. That cycle has absolutely fueled ETH’s rise in usage over the last few years. Now add in a wave of institutional investment from Silicon Valley legends like Peter Thiel, and you've got ETH moving into overdrive. Right now, I’m seeing a major divergence between ETH and Bitcoin that could signal a breakout for Ethereum in 2025. The chart below shows exactly what's happening. 
Here's how to read it: The ratio divides ETH's price by Bitcoin's price. It shows you how much Bitcoin it takes to buy 1 Ether. When the ratio rises, Ether is beating Bitcoin. When it drops, Ether is lagging behind. The key technical signal: The ratio just closed above the crucial 0.039 resistance level and is holding firmly above the 21-week exponential moving average. What does this setup tell us? We're looking at a major surge in ETH against BTC that could fuel another massive rally in cryptos.
