Why does Trump think Fort Knox is empty?

And how will it affect Gold prices?

Could someone be skimming off the top of our Gold reserves? Well Trump seems to think so. In his own words: “So we’re going to open up the doors. I’m going to see if we have gold there. We want to find, did anyone steal the gold at Fort Knox?” And as if to twist the knife, he said: “We want to make sure that we actually have, you know, 400 tons of gold or whatever the hell it is. It’s a lot of gold. I don’t want to open it, and the cupboards are bare. Could happen,” As funny as this sounds, we both know Trump won't take this lightly. Which is why I believe the events that'll follow – the visit and the audit of Fort Knox – could trigger a Gold reprice! And since we may not have pockets deep enough to buy up actual gold bars to prepare for the repricing... I have something even better in mind. And with all eyes on Gold right now... We have a shot at even higher targets! Now, I'll admit I can't guarantee profits or prevent losses... But no asset can get this level of attention without providing massive opportunities!
