A Message from Porter & Company Over the last year, every major media conglomerate has been pumping the same message… That AI is the “most important tech advance in decades”... …that “humans with AI will replace humans without AI”... …and that AI will “take over all of our jobs,” as Elon Musk recently said. There’s just one teeny, tiny problem. 🡪 Artificial Intelligence is NOT intelligent. It is a statistical probability model that can digest information from the Internet. It cannot recognize and correct its own mistakes. It cannot integrate critical thinking into its coding. It cannot converse with you, like a human being can. All of the programs that you think are AI – Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, Grammarly, ChatGPT… All they know how to do is extract data from the Internet, put there by actual intelligent beings, AKA humans. All of the hype around artificial intelligence has been nothing but an artificial illusion… You may not agree with me, and that’s fine.
