| AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon just announced… A joint venture to compete with SpaceX's Starlink Mobile. And they made the announcement just weeks before SpaceX's IPO. Go here to discover how I'm getting into SpaceX before it goes public. Big Telecom is scared of SpaceX. That's why the three largest wireless carriers in America just announced they're combining forces. They're pooling their spectrum, sharing infrastructure, and splitting the work three ways to build a satellite-based service that connects directly to smartphones. They're doing so to compete with SpaceX's Starlink Mobile. Wall Street analysts at LightShed Partners saw the announcement for what it was. They said the carriers are "nervous" and pointed to the timing. In their own words: "You announce an agreement in principle when the point is the announcement, not the deal. The timing, weeks ahead of the SpaceX roadshow, was the point." So basically it was a press release designed to land before SpaceX's IPO. The carriers' JV has no definitive agreement, no financial structure, and no deployment timeline as of today. But it could arrive at any moment because just look at what they're actually up against. SpaceX is completely dominating satellite internet… and it's now bringing that same infrastructure into the mobile market. Starlink already serves more than 10 million subscribers across 155 countries. It doubled its operating profit to $4.4 billion last year… And it has seen its subscriber base double in just 12 months. It also has 59 carrier partnerships globally, including T-Mobile itself, which is already powering Starlink Mobile today. Air Force One runs on Starlink. And Starlink's next-generation V2 satellites are designed to deliver up to 100 times the data density of the current system, with around 20 times the throughput of the first generation. That's the network powering the next phase of Starlink Mobile. After AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon made the announcement… SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell responded on X saying: "Weeeelllll, I guess Starlink Mobile is doing something right! It's David and Goliath (X3) all over again — I'm bettin' on David." And I'm betting on David too. That's why I'm getting into SpaceX now, weeks before the IPO. Go here to see how you can also get in before the listing. Ian Wyatt |
