Nexthop AI, which builds hardware and software for artificial intelligence data centers, raised $500 million in a funding round valuing the startup at $4.2 billion. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the investment, which included Andreessen Horowitz and existing backers Altimeter Capital and Kleiner Perkins. Nexthop, founded in 2024, enters a market against established tech companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cisco and Arista Networks.
