But when it really matters — when I’m trading live and need real-time data to make real-money decisions — I keep coming back to Thinkorswim. StockFetcher has its place. The interface is clean, and I can code custom scans to spot specific technical setups. But there’s a catch — and it’s a big one... Delayed Data Kills Trades StockFetcher runs on delayed data. That alone makes it a no-go for me when I’m actively trading. It might be fine if I’m doing research or backtesting ideas over the weekend. But if I’m about to risk real capital in the middle of a live session, I can’t afford to rely on information that’s 15 minutes old. In this market, 15 minutes is the difference between a clean entry and chasing a breakout.
