With 3363 NFTs available after an initial burn, these digital assets allow holders to drive virtual Lamborghini models in Animoca’s Motorverse games, creating an immersive experience for Web3 enthusiasts. The collection offers unique ownership benefits, exclusive access to VIP experiences, and interoperable gaming assets within the Motorverse. Transak supports various payment methods, making it easier for users to join, as Lamborghini strengthens its digital engagement with a luxury-meets-virtual strategy. Detroit To Allow Crypto For Tax Payments Detroit plans to allow residents to pay taxes with cryptocurrency starting in 2025, marking it as the largest U.S. city to adopt this option. Partnering with PayPal for secure transactions, the city aims to attract crypto businesses and integrate blockchain technology into municipal operations, potentially reducing data management costs and enhancing transparency. This initiative aligns with a broader push toward Web 3.0, as Detroit explores blockchain’s potential to transform public data handling and promote decentralized applications in city governance. WazirX Launching DeX (Decentralized Exchange) Following a hack in July, Indian crypto exchange WazirX has failed to restore users' funds, sparking frustration and distrust among the community. Instead of prioritizing refunds, WazirX plans to launch a decentralized exchange with a recovery token, a move that users view skeptically due to a perceived lack of transparency and accountability. Many in the Indian crypto community are now wary of using WazirX services, citing the exchange’s uncooperative stance post-hack and concerns over the reliability of its team. How Will The Trump Administration Handle The IRA? There is ongoing debate about the future of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), especially its electric vehicle (EV) subsidies, which Trump has vowed to repeal. However, repealing or modifying the IRA would require Congress's cooperation, not just presidential action. The IRA's EV subsidies may be cut to fulfill campaign promises to auto workers, but the act's incentives for domestic battery production will likely remain to support U.S. competitiveness with China. While Tesla could manage without the subsidies, as it’s profitable on electric vehicles, traditional automakers could face challenges. Changes to the IRA may not occur until mid-2024.
