Re: Working with an agency

Bitcoin Trader, if you work with a digital marketing agency - Exposure Ninja or otherwise - here are 4 of the most common mistakes to avoid:

  1. Slow approval. By far, the thing that slows projects down at Exposure Ninja than any other cause is clients taking a long time to approve something, whether it's content, keywords, ads, designs etc.

If you don't have time, consider delegating this task to someone else on your team or granting the agency unlimited approval (we only usually do this once we've had a working relationship for a while).

  2. Take no interest in what they're doing. They're the marketers, you run the business. Right? Yes, but running the business also includes overseeing the marketing. An old business mentor of mine once advised "delegation, not abdication". When they send you reports, it's a good idea to read them and ask if you're unclear about anything.

  3. Expect them to know everything about your business. No one knows your business like you do. Whilst we might learn as much about a market than a client does once we've worked on a campaign for a year or two, your insights, opinions and ideas for your business should always be at the forefront of the marketing.

The more you give us (promotional material, detailed answers in the Kickstart Questionnaire, even trialling the product), the faster we'll be able to pick up what sets you apart from the competition.

  4. Assume it's a silly question. I promise: if you're thinking it, we'll have been asked it. Never be afraid to ask.

Anything that we can help with?

Best,
