Over the weekend, news bubbled up that Pokémon developer Game Freak had been hacked earlier this year, as data spread through public forums, revealing masses of internal plans for the typically secretive company.   Then on Thursday, Nintendo released Super Mario Party Jamboree, the latest in its long-running line of board game-styled video games. The series has never earned the sort of hardcore respect given to franchises like Zelda and Smash Bros., but it's consistently been one of Nintendo's most popular — and for those who can tear themselves away from the Game Freak news, the latest entry sounds like one of the best.   "Mario Party tends to elicit a range of emotions," wrote Eric Van Allen in Polygon's review. "Some who have been raised on its particular brand of Star-grabbing, minigame-fueled chaos love the randomness and friction — the feeling that, at any point, a comical series of errors can send you from first to last place or vice versa. Others find it maddening. If any Party was going to sway some hearts, I think Super Mario Party Jamboree might have a shot."
