Fortune magazine named it the “Most Innovative Company in America” six years in a row. It was announcing larger and larger revenue with each passing quarter. And 11 of the 13 analysts covering it called it a “Buy.” But in my system, this firm was an obvious “SELL.” It failed both my quantitative model and my eight-factor fundamental model. That company was Enron, the poster child for corporate fraud — not to mention the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history at that time. After I closed our position, its share price crashed by more than 99%. Today… I’ve discovered TEN publicly traded, widely held, and seemingly “too big to fail” Wall Street darlings that could fall dramatically in the weeks ahead.
