Tech Across the Globe

AI chip trade: US companies, including Nvidia and Oracle, are pressing President Donald Trump to loosen restrictions put in place in the waning days of the Biden term on the overseas sale of high-powered semiconductors used for artificial intelligence.

Broadband subsidies: Elon Musk's Starlink satellite service stands to benefit from Trump administration changes to a $42 billion US broadband subsidy program. Some staff and federal officials say the satellite service won't be robust enough to connect Americans who would have gained broadband internet access.

Executive death: Samsung's co-Chief Executive Officer Han Jong-Hee died after suffering a heart attack. Han, 63, who spent more than three decades at Samsung, is credited with helping it become the world's top electronics company.

German medical software startup Amboss was valued at more than €800 million ($864 million) after a €240 million financing round joined by Kirkbi, Lightrock and M&G Investments.
