EigenLayer's major integrations are cementing its role as the backbone of Ethereum's modular ecosystem. Mantle Network is adopting EigenDA for enhanced scalability, while zkSync designates EigenLayer AVSs for decentralized zk proving. These moves deepen EigenLayer's dominance in restaking, security and Ethereum-aligned infrastructure.

EigenLayer and Symbiotic are the key players in Ethereum restaking, though with stark differences in scale. EigenLayer commands approximately $9.4 billion in total value locked (TVL), compared to Symbiotic's $1 billion. Each network's top five AVS, ranked by economic security, are as follows:

EigenLayer:

EigenDA: $8.8 billion
eoracle: $7.9 billion
Witness Chain: $7.6 billion
Lagrange ZK Prover Network: $7.3 billion
Cyber MACH: $7.2 billion

Symbiotic:

Ditto Network: $227.19 million
Capx Cloud: $183.85 million
Human Network: $158.60 million
Kalypso: $119.20 million
Radius: $87.83 million

Part of this disparity may stem from the fact that Symbiotic has already implemented slashing on Ethereum mainnet, whereas EigenLayer has not. But it also highlights EigenLayer's deeper integration within the Ethereum security model and broader adoption among validators.

EigenLayer's expansion

EigenLayer is securing its position at the heart of Ethereum's modular future with two major integrations — one with Mantle Network and another with zkSync's Elastic Network. These deals signal how leading L2 networks are leveraging EigenLayer's restaking-powered infrastructure for enhanced scalability, security and efficiency.

Mantle Network, an optimium hybrid rollup, announced today it has fully integrated EigenDA. The move marks a milestone in its modular architecture. Previously, Mantle operated its own EigenDA-powered MantleDA, but this transition to the full EigenDA implementation significantly enhances scalability, censorship resistance and economic sustainability.

Mantle expands from 10 operators (MantleDA) to over 200 through EigenDA, reducing downtime risks.
EigenDA enables throughput of 15MB/s.
$335m in restaked assets secure EigenDA.

Meanwhile, zkSync has designated EigenDA as the preferred altDA solution for its Elastic Network — an ecosystem of customizable zk rollups. Like Mantle, rollups within zkSync's Elastic Network gain access to EigenDA's modular data availability, reducing data bottlenecks.

In addition, zkSync will leverage additional EigenLayer Autonomous Verifiable Services (AVSs) for decentralized zk proving, shifting away from centralized providers like AWS and Google Cloud.

Decentralizing zk proving: EigenLayer AVSs will handle proving operations, increasing fault tolerance and censorship resistance.
Scaling via market-driven proving costs: A proving marketplace allows AVSs to compete for proving jobs, driving down costs and expanding scalability.

EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan sees these integrations as part of a "new era in blockchain modularity."

"This initiative advances our vision of a verifiable cloud built on Ethereum's cryptoeconomic security," Kannan said.

With over $8b in TVL and 57+ active AVSs, EigenLayer is maturing as an infrastructure layer for modular networks. Hype around the restaking model has subsided, but the Mantle and zkSync integrations show the momentum from builders is still in full swing.
