Lyft facelift: The ride-hailing company is working on a simplified version of its app aimed at elderly riders. The project, dubbed Lyft Silver, includes a new design and tools to make it easier for relatives and friends to pay for older users' rides. Uber retreat: Lyft's archrival gave up its effort to acquire Foodpanda in Taiwan, after the island's antitrust regulator turned down the proposal in December. Uber Eats and Foodpanda each have roughly half of the meal delivery business in Taiwan and few expected a merger would be approved. X exposed: Cybersecurity analysts said the cyberattack that brought down Elon Musk's X social network hit servers that were insufficiently protected.
