JOIN US HERE! _________________________________________________   TSLA, MSFT, META Earnings and FOMC on Deck — Will the Fed Cave to Trump’s Demands?   The FOMC is meeting today to announce its latest rate policy, but let’s be clear… The Fed is not going to listen to Donald Trump’s demands that it cut rates right now. Trump wanted Powell to wait to cut rates after the election, and he didn’t listen to him then, and he won’t listen to him now.  I believe Powell will be fairly neutral and uneventful, and he’ll probably blame tariffs as a reason they can’t cut rates right now. Trump of course won’t be able to help himself, so we’ll see what he says after the announcement, even if it won’t really matter because Powell is in charge here and can’t be fired.  Chip stocks got a boost this morning on the heels of ASML Holdings (ASML) earnings, which has propelled the stock over 5% higher in the premarket.  So today it will be all eyes on Nvidia (NVDA) — we need to see it trade above $129, the previous high, and it’s at $130 premarket, which is very positive.   Then we need the VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) to break through resistance — the 50- and 100-day moving averages, the election VWAP and others — and top $245.08.
