Our top pick of the week: Switch 2 inches closer |
|

It seems like you can't throw a rock these days without hitting a new Switch 2 leak, rumor, or piece of speculation. All for a system Nintendo has only kind of announced! The leaks ramped up to a new level this week when peripherals manufacturer Genki released a mock-up of the new system (above), playing the old Ubisoft card of jumping the gun on new hardware announcements to promote its own products before the market gets saturated. But, as we learned later in the week, Genki has been giving mixed messages on how much information it has behind the scenes. All that's left now is for Nintendo to properly reveal the thing, which feels like it can't be too far off at this point. |

This week on YouTube | Nobody understands playing cards — not even the experts | Playing cards have been around for hundreds of years, but we still don't really understand how they work. Modern games like Balatro give us a glimpse of the limitless possibility of cards — but that's not the card game Polygon's Simone de Rochefort is hooked on right now. She can't stop playing Solitaire, so she turned to Baba Is You developer Hempuli, who just published A Solitaire Mystery on Itch.io, to figure out why. |

Anker's clever new USB-C charger is $10 off! "CES 2025 saw the unveiling of some exciting gaming gear, like the new Lenovo Legion Go S, the Nvidia RTX 5090, and some tech that's made to make life a bit easier," writes Cameron Faulkner. "Anker's new 140 W multi-port wall charger definitely falls into the latter bucket, but I'm still oddly excited about it, especially because it's already $10 off its $89.99 price at Amazon." |
