VIX Watching: Why an Afternoon Spike Could Spell Trouble

They’ll cover technical price levels, mind over markets, profit windows, seasonality, and options with strike prices!   JOIN US HERE! _________________________________________________   VIX Watching: Why an Afternoon Spike Could Spell Trouble   Markets appear random this morning with very little downside or a meaningful move, and volatility is still barely moving despite geopolitical tensions… In fact, volatility has been peaking early in the day and then falling back — if we don’t break the 20.40 level in the VIX, then odds are it’s going to break down further.  If you see it breaking higher around 1 to 3 p.m. ET in the afternoon, then that will be bad because most of the action’s been happening overnight.  This is really important with everything going on in the Middle East because if I see a spike in the VIX, then I know the market is about to fall.  Bonds, meanwhile, have been steadily falling since the Fed’s interest rate cut, and when the 10-year bond goes down, typically, interest rates go UP. That’s not good!
