As President Joe Biden comes under intensifying pressure to pull the plug on his reelection bid, some Democrats hellbent on preventing a Donald Trump comeback are warming to Kamala Harris as their Plan B.

The vice president—long written off by many in the Democratic Party—is now viewed by some as the clear alternative, with polls suggesting she would stand a better chance against Trump. Harris and her team are still strongly supporting Biden's candidacy, and there is said to be disbelief within her circle that he'd actually step aside. At the same time, one party operative said more skeptics are buzzing about the "K-Hive."
