Good morning, it's Amy here in windy Melbourne with the news from our region and beyond to start your day.

Today's must-reads:
• Rate hike expected
• Warning on physical risk of climate change
• Wheat exports tipped to fall

What else is happening around our region this morning

RBA decision.  Economists unanimously expect Australia's central bank to announce a 10th straight interest rate rise today, of 25 basis points, while the nation's biggest companies have flashed a recession warning. There's also talk of the Australian dollar hitting its lowest point this year.

Climate risk. Australian investors and asset managers need to do more to measure the physical impact of climate change across their portfolios to avoid "catastrophic" long-term risks, according to a survey out today.

Mining future. Agnico Eagle Mines has told Bloomberg it's considering its plans for its Australian gold mine after landing two big takeovers within two years. Those moves turned the Canadian company into the world's third-largest gold producer.

Shrinking exports. Australia's wheat exports are likely to fall as production drops due to drier conditions, according to government forecaster Abares. Australia's production was boosted by plentiful rains from the La Nina weather event, and a return to less favorable, drier conditions is expected in the coming months, the agency said in a report.

Stocks prediction. Morgan Stanley's Michael Wilson, widely known as one of Wall Street's most bearish strategists, expects stocks to rally in the short term. Meanwhile, global markets are taking China's modest growth target in their stride. Follow our Markets coverage here.

Team Tesla.  The Tesla-inspired price war is taking a toll on other electric vehicle players, with BYD Co's value dropping $18 billion since early February. Meanwhile, here's an insight into Elon Musk's appearance with 16 executives who presented Tesla's master plan and briefed investors on its past, present and future plans.

One more thing…

Vector T7

Yet another wearable tech weapon's been added to the toolkit of elite sports coaches. Duke University is among the elite basketball teams to try out the Vector T7, a device pinned to a player's jersey or worn around the waist. It sends real-time data to coaches on how much energy a player is exerting during training or a game. It also uses local positioning systems as well as inertial and heart rate sensors, and tracks data like how long someone ran or how high they jumped.
