  • Six people were killed and dozens injured after a gunman opened fire during an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois. It was one of many shootings and scares in the US over the holiday weekend. 
  • In Copenhagen, three people were killed after a gunman opened fire in a shopping mall on Sunday, in a rare occurrence of gun violence in Denmark. Four were hospitalized for gunshot wounds, and some two dozen people were hurt in the stampede that followed the shooting.
